Wow, what a fantastic community event we had yesterday!
First off, on behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to thank all of you who attended. We had a wonderful turnout. I was told we had one hundred and six community members in attendance, and we’re so glad you could come out and spend some time with your neighbors. The weather was spectacular, the food you all brought was delicious, and the company was outstanding! Personally it was great for me and the Board members to put names with faces we had not yet met.
Also, a tremendous thank you to Pool/Clubhouse Committee members Jane Jackson, Diane Aversa, Sharon Goldstein, Peggy Neglia, and Cathy White, and Board members Linda Summers, Dave Milliman, Don Crist, and Robin Beuse, for all of the time and hard work that went into making this event a great success.
A special thank you to Jo Kerrigan, Brenda Milliman, Buddy Jackson, Deborah and Carroll Johnson, and Henrietta Bond, for their time and valuable assistance. Also, thanks to the many folks who pitched in and cleaned up at the end of the party, just another example of our great community.
We were asked many times if we would be having other community events. The answer to that question is a resounding yes! The Pool/Clubhouse Committee has already been discussing some ideas for events during the winter months and a possible pool opening party at the beginning of next summer. As we make decisions on these events and the plans come together, we will let you know.
