Clubhouse Fire Pit Usage Rules

 

If you wish to use the Fire Pit and the Patio Area, please follow the rules below:

Notify Janice Batzold or Sue Hermansky (Clubhouse Committee Co-Chairs) and reserve the Fire Pit and Patio Area on the date and time of your choosing. Click Here for Janice and Sue's contact informatiion.   

 

Janice or Sue will advise you if this area or the clubhouse has been previously reserved. If not, you will be placed on the clubhouse calendar.

 

If using the Fire Pit, for safety purposes, please read and adhere to the following instructions.

 

When using the clubhouse rear patio, there is a key for the rear door inside a lockbox located just outside of the rear door. The code for the lock box is 0522. Please return the key to the lockbox and secure it when leaving the patio and clubhouse.

 

To Operate the Fire Pit:

 

• Uncover the Fire Pit and place the cover to the side.

 

• Remove the door to the underside of the Fire Pit allowing access to the propane tank.

 

• Turn the knob at the top of the propane tank counterclockwise all the way to open the tank.

 

• Replace the door to the underside of the Fire Pit.

 

• On the side of the Fire Pit, turn the black gas control dial counterclockwise, half way, to allow gas into the pit.

 

• Press the black ignitor button to ignite the gas and start the fire.

 

• Using the gas control dial, the gas can be regulated to produce a higher or lower flame.

 

CAUTION:

DO NOT TOUCH THE FIRE OR FIRE GLASS WHILE FIRE PIT IS IN OPERATION

 

To Turn Off and Close the Fire Pit:

 

• At the conclusion of your session, turn the black gas control dial counter clockwise to shut gas off from the pit.

•  

•                                                            CAUTION:                                                            DO NOT TOUCH THE FIRE GLASS AFTER THE FLAME HAS BEEN TURNED OFF,   IT REMAINS VERY HOT.

 

• Remove the door to the underside of the Fire Pit allowing access to the propane tank.

 

• Turn the knob at the top of the propane tank clockwise all the way to close the tank.

 

• Once the fire glass has cooled, re-cover the Fire Pit with the plastic and place the cover (it may take a while for the fireglass to cool down, Please insure that the fireglass is completely cooled prior to replacing the cover (the cover is plastic, it will melt if replaced prematurely).
